Tonight, I’ll be at the Kennedy Center, thanking @billmaher as he receives the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Bill has helped the Physicians Committee push Congress to improve nutrition in America and helped us replace animals in research and education. In this @PCRM ad to eliminate animal laboratories at the University of Colorado’s medical school, Bill said, “Don’t let your medical education go to the dogs… or rabbits, rats, or other animals, for that matter. Nearly 70 percent of North American medical schools have dropped animal laboratories from their curricula, and we ought to be able to do the same at CU.” Bill not only helped us win that campaign; he helped us make that figure 100 percent.
