Importing fossil fuels does not mean we pay more. Drilling in the north sea will take years to deliver globally priced fossil fuels and Rosebank will cost nearly £3 Bn in tax payer subsidies to it’s Norwegian owners - and….none of the oil will land here in Britain. So what sense is Ratcliffe making here, other than to shareholders in Rosebank and other oil companies.
