On this day in Park City history, 1929, a mail plane crashed in Old Town! Read about it here: parkcityhistory.org/a-flight-to-re… Pictured is a letter that was on the flight. It is stamped with "Damaged in Plane Crash Park City, UT 3-11-29 Dutton, P. O. Isp."

You'd think a place called the Park City Meat Company would have a lot of meat around the store or something. 🤷‍♂️ The butcher shop was located at 268 Main Street in the early 20th century.

Just a horse waiting for its pay... Kidding! That's Dick Williams atop his steed outside the Anchor Mine office and Anchor Tunnel entrance. On the porch is a box of mining candles (not dynamite).

While tourism has certainly grown in America over the years, and especially in the American West post WWII, touring has been going on long before then. Check out this ca. 1905-1915 photo of a Salt Lake and Uinta Basin Scenic Route bus that worked between Park City and Duchesne!

You can't park along the side of Marsac Avenue, since it would impede traffic. And you couldn't do it back in 1932, either. Amos Prescott was in court #OTD in Park City history, 1932, after he had been cited for parking along Marsac for over four hours!
