Collaborating and learning together. A nice little switch up for our maths sessions this week. #pdamaths

On Tuesday, we visited Liverpool to take part in a city walking tour, where we explored the cities past and its links to transatlantic slave trade. We visited historical sites and used our historical investigation skills to explore their significance. #pdahistory

On Monday, we visited St. George’s Church in Chorley to take part in the Blackburn Diocese Year 6 leavers service. We sang, worshiped and celebrated together with our fellow school families. A very special occasion. #pdare

Some fantastic discussions based around the song ‘This is Me’. We discussed the meaning of the lyrics and how it is important we are our true selves and proud of who we are. Each of us special and wonderful ☺️ #pdapshe

We did some fantastic work on the future of Parbold.We considered housing,how to make them eco friendly, potential future businesses and how to nurture the strong community spirit!This was presented in a variety of ways such as a map, Freeform, Keynote, video #pdageography

And they’re off! We’ve completed our model electric cars. They are operated by an electric motor. We’ve created wonderful exteriors and we even set them off on a race. #pdadt

What a fabulous day in forest school. We explored and created dens, designed woodland art work and also had a camp fire. What a treat. #pdape

We practiced our measuring, sawing and gluing skills in our aeroplane focused task. We were really pleased with our amazing results and have all the skills for our more complicated main task….. making an electric vehicle! #pdadt

Today we started our Design and Technology unit of work where we are learning about woodwork. We are beginning our unit by constructing a model aeroplane. We look forward to sharing these completed models with you soon. #pdadt

Great SATS treat for Year 6. Thanks for visiting us at school. All of the children have worked so hard over the last week and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

And that’s a wrap! We’ve completed our 2025 SATS. The children have all worked so hard to prepare and have showed brilliance and confidence in their own abilities. We’re so proud of all of them. This afternoon, we had a fantastic time having a water fight in the sun to celebrate.

We have had a reflective and thoughtful day celebrating VE Day. We enjoyed our picnic, exploring artefacts and writing pieces of poetry as an act of remembrance. Well done to everyone. #PDAHistory

We loved developing our learning about the heart by delving deeper…. inside it using an AR heart app! We could see the heart beat and all the arteries and veins connecting our incredible circulatory system! #pdascience
