Richard Sanders, producer of Al Jazeera’s Labour Files, reflects on the investigation's impact and argues that its findings on the handling of anti-Semitism allegations inside the Labour Party were met with what he describes as "absolute omertà" from much of the British mainstream media. He argues that when investigations couldn't be effectively discredited or debunked, they are instead largely ignored.
Based on one of the largest leaks of internal documents in British political history, The Labour Files examined thousands of emails, WhatsApp messages, disciplinary records and internal party documents to investigate Labour's internal operations and weaponisation of anti-Semitism during Jeremy Corbyn's leadership (2015–2020). The investigation argued that senior party officials ran a covert campaign to undermine Corbyn's elected leadership, using internal party structures to sideline members, block candidates, suspend constituency parties and shape the party's direction.

Fergie Chambers, an heir to the Cox family fortune and a major donor to pro-Palestinian and left-wing causes, was arrested in Ibiza on Friday 10 July 2026 at the request of the US Department of Justice.
According to a sealed indictment reviewed by @TheGrayzoneNews, he faces extradition to the United States on charges of "international money laundering...with the intent to provide material support to and resources to foreign terrorist organisations.” The charges carry a potential sentence of up to 30 years.
The indictment reportedly presents no evidence that Chambers funded such organisations, pointing only to transfers from US banks to Tunisia, where he had relocated and invested in businesses, social initiatives and the Club Africain football team. His partner, Stella Schnabel, describes the case as political persecution linked to his support for Palestinians in Gaza.

"Palestine was there... but the Palestinians were absent from the story," Scottish historian William Dalrymple tells Palestine Deep Dive's Ahmed Alnaouq as he reflects on the version of history he was taught growing up in Britain.
Dalrymple recalls school textbooks that taught that Israel had "made the desert bloom"—a narrative illustrated with images of olive trees and Jaffa oranges, portraying the land as having been transformed from "sand and desert" into a fertile country.

They’re gonna make us beg to leave.” Palestinian author and academic Ahmed Masoud argues that the devastation in Gaza is part of a wider strategy aimed at making life unlivable and forcing Palestinians into a choice between displacement and survival.
“My personal opinion with Gaza is that they’re done with Gaza. I think this is what they want,” Masoud says, describing what he sees as a deliberate process of creating conditions that would lead to a so-called “voluntary” exit, as described by several Israeli ministers. “What they want now is the West Bank,” he adds.

Gaza-born author and academic Ahmed Masoud recounts being denied entry through the Allenby Bridge while travelling to the occupied West Bank on his British passport as part of a delegation of international writers attending PalFest.
While the rest of the group was permitted to enter, Masoud says he was detained, questioned for hours, and ultimately turned back, despite being the only Palestinian on the delegation.
