@anttaylor88 @Mart0Rowe It’s actually more jarring than anything else…it’s such a simple thing to get right👍
English

@Mart0Rowe Opening Scene ‘1990’ and N-Trance Set You Free is playing at the party, that annoyed me more than it should’ve.
English

@bluekippercom @CrostonBluesEFC @Anderslimpar777 @NevilleSouthall I attended 34 plus matches that season - without a season ticket - only to be locked out…heard numerous interviews on the radio from people who’d flown in from abroad or come to offer their support - listened to it in a pub - the original emotional rollercoaster
English

#OnThisDay 1994 Everton came from 2-0 down v Wimbledon to win 3-2. Goals from Graeme Stuart(2) & Barry Hooorne & we were safe. Just 31,297 at Goodison Park due to the Park End closed. What’s your memory? @Anderslimpar777 @NevilleSouthall #EFC #Everton

@retrofootballnw Sounds great. I’ve got a pretty decent idea for a series that I’ve been working on re my own club and happy to share👍

@rawedgespassion Can’t fault this Peter. People get very frustrated obviously but as you say success takes time to build.

What do I know? I’m just a one-hit wonder from Walton.
But it’s absolutely mental how many keyboard warriors are out there doing a full Alexander O’Neal, criticising Moyes for this, that and the other. The amount of people wanting him out or saying he’s no good is baffling.
Look, if we’d signed that Fulham right-back it probably would’ve transformed our season. Having said that, I’m almost glad we didn’t — now we’ve got more time to properly source a top young right-back for the long term.
Gueye has been brilliant for us, but we need a proper top-class defensive centre midfielder. We also need long-term cover for Tarkowski, who’s getting on now sadly. And while Branthwaite has been superb, we’ve seen he can be injury-prone… really hope that’s not a long-term thing.
Up front we need to replace Barry with a hungry young striker and keep Beto. Our youth policy got absolutely ravaged when we were a basket-case club — that needs sorting ASAP.
And the last point: music is like football. You can have all the talent in the world, but without desire and hunger it means fuck all. Moyes doesn’t just instil that desire in the players — it’s the very first thing he looks for in a signing. If he doesn’t see the hunger, he won’t buy them. For me, that’s the absolute essence of a proper football team.
For years we had players with zero desire. That can never, and will never, happen under Moyes.
To all the people criticising him: building something special takes time. Show some patience. Destroying it can happen in a heartbeat. Remember, we were seconds away from turning into Sheffield Wednesday.
We need to learn from our mistakes and get as sharp at recruitment as Brighton.
End of rant. And I don’t care if you don’t like what I’m saying.

Nice one Paul, they lost me a little after the first couple of albums then came back stronger than ever as they got darker and darker 👌NH is very niche and wasn’t my thing at the time but now I can appreciate his talent (and from what I’ve heard he’s a top bloke) I think it would be an interesting one 👍
English

On this day in 1986 No 18 UK Album Chart Depeche Mode “Black Celebration” IMHO a brilliantly dark album and the real start of moving darker. I’ll choose “A Question Of Lust” how about you? #1980s #DepecheMode @jillwebb2005 @nikidoog @Carolyn_on_x @FatOldAnarchist @brunstead @SkaManD14
