Republican BS hypocrisy: 1. Guns are safe! The real problems are bad people/mentally ill people. 2. Guns are not allowed at Repub rallies. Why? Is it because guns aren’t safe, or rally attendees are bad/mentally ill? All the above? The hypocrisy is so blatant & simplistic.

@SadYankeeFan22 @YankeeSource sure was. his splits away from Coors were also MUCH worse. I have no idea why anyone thought he would be a good trade target. maybe if his cost was $5m/yr he would have been a good gamble but at $16m/yr x 2.5 yrs...yikes.

@YankeeSource @miketee2356 I think it is VERY optimistic to think ANYONE wants him even if the #Yankees eat $20m of the remaining $24m. I guess they could attach a big time prospect or two, and get a team to take on more of his contract, but that feels like throwing good money after bad. He is sunk cost.

@miketee2356 They would need to eat some $$ to facilitate a deal. Not sure who needs a 3B, but if he’s a $16 million part-time bench player he is expendable. The Yankees shouldn’t tie up a roster spot just because of cost that is already buried.

@PEMdocResists I have no issues with playing the hot hands. Certainly give both JC & Volpe more games as long as they produce. I have no love or faith in McMahon. Wells is extremely disappointing, but he is a better catcher than JC, however, if JC can show consistency in hitting, let him play

If a guy is above average overall, but only averages 120 games a year (for example) then that really forces you to have a very good utility guy b/c you know he will play a ton at that position. It dilutes the value of the starter a lot.
