✨ One-Day Workshop on “AI in Education: Practical AI Tools for Teaching Faculty” ✨ PESU Research Foundation successfully conducted a highly interactive, hands-on workshop for the teaching faculty of PES University – Hanumanth Nagar Campus on 26 February 2026. With 72 faculty participants across two parallel sessions, the workshop provided practical exposure to AI tools that enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and research. The sessions were led by Dr. Richa Sharma, Dr. Divyaprabha K N, Ms. Smrithi S, and Ms. Niveditha Reddy. Key areas covered: 📌 AI fundamentals & prompt engineering 📌 AI-powered lesson planning & content creation 📌 Research assistance using modern AI tools 📌 Classroom integration strategies 📌 Tools such as ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Gamma AI, Claude, Brisk Teaching, and QuillBot 💡 Participant Feedback: The workshop received an excellent 4.7/5 rating, with faculty appreciating the clarity, hands-on learning, and immediate classroom applicability. 🌟 PES University is proud to highlight the achievements of our student athlete, Harshil Dharmani (BBA–Sports Management, 4th Semester). During the 2025–26 cricket season, Harshil represented Karnataka State in three major BCCI tournaments: • BCCI U23 Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy – Quarter Finalists • BCCI Men’s U23 State A Trophy • BCCI Vijay Hazare Trophy – Semi Finalists Across formats, he accumulated an impressive 508 runs in 12 innings, including: • 142 vs Tamil Nadu (State A Trophy) • 100 vs Chandigarh* (Nayudu Trophy) He also competed in the KSCA Maharaja Trophy as part of the Mysore Warriors franchise. Three PESUIMSR student teams excelled at Shaastra 2026, the annual national tech fest hosted by IIT Madras, standing out among 100+ registrations in each event. 🔬 Biobattle (Jan 4, 2026) Team The Sting Operation secured 3rd place and the Best Presentation award for proposing a triple‑defence biomimetic surface coating designed to combat biofilm formation and reduce hospital‑acquired infections. 🧬 Immunocasefiles (Jan 5, 2026) • 1st Place: The Goldilocks Complex — a proposal on conditionally regulating TOX expression in ROR1‑specific CAR‑T cells for Triple Negative Breast Cancer. • 2nd Place: Trident — exploring the role of gut microbiome–mediated indole–kynurenine metabolic balance in tumor immunity. These accomplishments highlight the students’ dedication, depth of research, and ability to innovate beyond classical medical education.
