@leelinale @MissSmith_PE I’ve searched around and some of best advice is kind of reverse engineer their full performance and get them to do the skills they use in their dance in isolation and then linking to other moves
English

@MissSmith_PE @PEmrG We are having Irish dancing moderated this year - full context easy to provide evidence. Skills will give us some headaches next week

@MissSmith_PE Not had our selection yet, but trying to ensure staff and students are better prepared for all situations

@Missrainsfordpe @RSpendelow @PE_MrShepherd @HWT_PE No budget for it, each year I try buy a new piece of kit for everyone though e.g this year a coat for everyone and then every few years option to buy their own staff kit and can buy as little/much as they want - we use macron
English

How much do departments spend on their staff kit and do they have a budget for this?

@Wylierob Same boat on the amount of marks. Still flabbergasted by it! What month did you have moderation?
English

@GrovePE17 Our kids would 1000% rather be in PE and hate being removed from it, trust and leadership but as ‘it is not an assessed subject, we don’t want to take time from any assessed subjects’
English

@PEmrG Took a lot of time, increasing the value of ks4 PE to all the stakeholders. Parents eg whose kid is failing maths to do maths, pupils prioritising their academic progress over PE and the SLT. Gave pupils have the choice. Our job is to raise that value of PE by yr11
English

@mrJ_JonesPE @WannaTeachPE No mate we still have our class but they are handpicking kids for selected reasons, those kids then are getting 0 hours of PE a week
English

@Mr_O_PE1 I agree I’ve made our stance completely clear to leadership, however they come and collect the kids and if they refuse will get sanctioned so can’t really advise the kids that!
English

I’ve told pupils it’s their choice whether to attend them or not. I understand this might be controversial. However, they only get 1 hour of scheduled PE a week. They can do intervention at any time before/lunch/after school 5 days a week. We even run Saturday revision.
The only exception to this is near their actual GCSE’s.
English

@GrovePE17 @PEScholar @WannaTeachPE We did better than all AQA centres in nearly all aspects and still not close to that! On average 50 students per year and no input on who’s allowed to pick the course so think for us that number is a pipe dream! Don’t forget P8 last year and this year is fake…
English

Looking for anyone who does AQA GCSE PE who are hitting +1 P8? @PEScholar @WannaTeachPE
English

@mrsangovePE I really don’t want to not do GCSE, it’s worth so much more than BTEC and Cambridge in my own opinion but I know the feeling!
English

@PEmrG Absolutely! I’m lucky if my kids have 1 sport let alone 3. Worked so hard these last 2 years to improve results and technically we have, but the stats won’t say that. Sadly it’s time we moved away from AQA which is such a shame as I really like the spec 😩
English

Is anyone else shocked at the AQA PE hike in grade boundaries? I understand the concept of it… I’m just shocked 😳 #aqapegcse
English

@mrsangovePE They seem to think that kids smash the NEA and therefore the boundaries need to be high, but let’s be realistic with their expectations hardly any kids can get good marks in the NEA!
English

@PEmrG 10 marks?! That’s huge! Have you read your moderators report yet? Sorry to hear that. Our kids also did well on the papers.. we have some of the best scores we’ve seen in a long time but sadly the grades don’t reflect that
