MMA is officially broken (and has been for a bit). We'll never see a historically long-reigning champion ever again. Not because someone can't do it (Islam Makhachev could have been the guy), but because champions in this era get overly fascinated with multiple titles. Don't get me wrong, double-champ status/multi-division champions are incredibly impressive and big legacy points. However, it should make us appreciate those ungodly long reigns of yesteryear even more.
