Day 19: Louis Kevin Celestin (a.k.a. Kaytranada) was born on August 25, 1992. A talented Haitian-Canadian DJ, record producer, and musician. He has made significant contributions to the music industry, in the realm of electronic and dance music. @KAYTRANADA

My Official Statement to Mayor Kevin Ashe's unfortunate accusation of racism towards me in response to my op-ed piece in The Central Newspaper regarding Black History Month. I want to make it clear that my intention is to advocate for a society where individuals are not judged by the colour of their skin, their religion, or sexual preference, but by their character. Unfortunately, Mayor Ashe would rather political posture and spread mistruths. He has never attempted to have a constructive conversation with me regarding my recent publications or motions I tried to bring forward months ago for my constituents. I have been subject to his name-calling, bullying, and his displays of outrageous temper during Council meetings which raises questions about his suitability for the role of a leader. I urge the Mayor to reflect upon his actions and consider the impact they have on the community he serves.
