@TheDartsReferee I’ve had 6 hole in one’s, total luck-anyone can get one. I’ve hit a 180 about 10 times- let alone a 9 darter. As for a 147, used to play a bit, a 50 odd break felt incredible so a 147 is extraordinary.

No one ever mentions a bowling 300 in the 9 darter, 147, hole in 1 debate, where does that land in the list?

@4golfonline More holes would ultimately increase the chance of the best player winning and most tournaments want to achieve that. Your question was whether the event would be better, would the fans/spectators lose interest if it was drawn out over 5,6 or 7 days? Probably

Please do not get triggered by this question. Can you please help me understand why a 72-hole tournament is better than a 54-hole tournament? If you believe 72 holes is definitely better then should we push for maybe 144 hole events? We know 18 holes is a traditionally arbitrary number of holes. Are we also programmed to the same ideas for 72 holes being “standard”

@jamiecweir Is the TGL gimmicky? Don’t see you mocking it in the same way as you do LIV, can you explain the difference?

It’s possible to hold both views simultaneously: •to find LIV not your cup of tea; format, gimmicky team names, faux earnestness etc •to believe a deal with Saudi PIF and unification in some form is necessary Thinking the latter doesn’t mean you’ve ‘changed your tune’ on former

@PepperellEddie @MarkEglinton rahm has now quit golf, its not sport if its a closed shop without qschools and feeder tours. every player is easily replaced in golf apart tiger woods also, means nothing rahm going to liv as no one cares about dustin johnson now tbh, saudi king whores now they are, paid to play

The suggestion that Rahm’s legacy will be damaged by going to LIV is both wrong and an arrogant suggestion that the PGA tour is the only measurement of a golfer’s worth. That ship has long sailed.

The Evening Standard's business and technology correspondent wants all 131 golf clubs in London to be seized, the courses rewilded and their clubhouses converted into flats. This, says Simon Hunt, will solve London's housing crisis and help the environment standard.co.uk/comment/london…

This is Christo Lamprecht, the amateur who is leading The Open. Why the dip? Imagine being 6’8” and not being able to play a driver the right length. Before the USGA reduced the length of driver, he played one longer than 46 inches. Video/pictures courtesy of @BradFaxon …by the way this was a 5 yard draw right down the middle that was sizzling at 191 mph ball speed when it left.

@JAC_192 @richardmansel14 @FIFAcom If the hole is 335 yards long and Rory hits that shot is it less exciting? 15 yard reduction is being proposed, Rory would still be one of the few capable of pulling it off

@PGAPro9 @richardmansel14 @FIFAcom Well the intention of the proposed changes is to eradicate what we both agree was that exciting moment yesterday from the game. That’s negative, not positive.

If you shot -10 on the DP World tour this week, you finished in a tie for 46th on a really long golf course. You had to be -17 for four rounds to be in the top 10. That’s not the golf ball, it’s the course setup….. Pretty simple what needs to change 👀

@JAC_192 @richardmansel14 @FIFAcom It was an amazing shot, 350 carry with that accuracy is astonishing, no question at all about that, my argument is not that golf isn’t exciting now, I just feel it won’t be diminished with the proposed changes and there are obvious benefits if they are adopted

@JAC_192 @richardmansel14 @FIFAcom The game was entertaining in the past, when Seve hit it on the 10th at the Belfry it was an incredible shot, now they would be hitting hybrid, when Faldo was in between 5 wood and 2 iron on the 13th at Augusta there was jeopardy, now they go in with short irons

@PGAPro9 @richardmansel14 @FIFAcom Rory this weekend has been entertaining to watch, because he’s hit bird after bird after bird. The commentary is exciting, the crowds are following him because they’re seeing ridiculously good shots, but off the tee and the deck. Make the ball shorter = higher scores.

@richardmansel14 Can you imagine @FIFAcom sitting down one day and going “right, to make this sport more entertaining, we need to make it more difficult to score goals. I’m serious, there are just too many goals being scored right now.” It’s just such utter nonsense 😂

@chambleebrandel On this point it is absolutely the PGA tours call, it is a proposed local rule that can be implemented but I don’t see anyway that it can be forced upon them. Presumably the R&A and USGA will implement in their events, I imagine the Masters will follow.

would argue that it is the PGA Tour’s call, and not the governing bodies, as to how the professional game is played. I don’t imagine Roger Goodell would allow an outside agency to dictate how he runs his business. And by playing the same equipment are spectators not better able

It seems to me that this proposal by the USGA and R&A derives from what a very small number of people, namely the executive committees of the USGA and R&A, think about how a very small number of players, namely the longest hitters on the men’s tour, play a very few number of

My criticism of LIV never hung on the format, although 48 players with a shotgun start over 54 holes with music blaring and commentary that sounds like Willy Loman trying to sell linoleum is laughable. My criticism hung on the source of the money and the reason for the “tour.”
#FireDanQuinn@JHOLMES44

@chambleebrandel huge fan of yours but i swear u banged on LIV for 54 holes and no cuts. But now all a sudden ur comparing no cut to a bad half of ball from lebron? Come on man feels like u playing both sides on that specific topic.
