@Jared_Carrabis I think the narrative that the because American players didn’t display as much outward jubilance as the Latin American teams did means they didn’t care as much is bs. Japan doesn’t display as much emotion either, but you’d never hear anyone say that they don’t care

I don’t think Team USA didn’t care. They were businesslike in their demeanor, sure. I think the narrative is that it’s hard for USA fans to care as much as other countries because their fandom lies with their MLB teams whereas other countries’ fans only have their national teams.

@Jared_Carrabis I also think there are many fans that were turned off by the Ugly American cookie cutter that was shown by some of the players in an atmosphere that was more world party for baseball. The Ugly American thing is so bad these days.
