@Seth_3773 Well said. We scout 85+, no less. Some kids just need to be reminded baseball is all that matters, scouts give a rats ass if you know how to read or not.

I saw a kid post that he was #uncommited today on my feed. 2.1 GPA and a 78-80 mph fastball class of 24. These kids think college is little league, you just sign up.. I covered his name, I’m not trying to embarrass him, but whoever is telling him these numbers are enough to be recruited should be embarrassed. He should be told this Take a Gap year or go to a post grad, get those grades up, work on your body, add flexibility, get leaner, get into a throwing program, mid 80s to give yourself a chance. Coaches, give kids realistic views of what it takes to make it to the next level.

It’s good to know for the future that @pbrtscouting won’t watch top talent perform if they are on a team that has a loss in pool play. We had a top 185 player in the country (via @PG_Scouting) on the mound throwing 83-84 mph and no one from PBR was to be seen (to the surprise of an umpire) because “they lost already and aren’t slated to make bracket.” So that’s what it’s about? I thought this event was about the players? $1800 to enter our team into this tournament in hopes of giving our players an opportunity to perform in front of evaluators — $$ out the window due to a loss? Absolutely unacceptable. No wonder pro scouts and majority of college coaches use perfect game to cross check players and gather info.
