The Philadelphia Fire Department & friends today said fairwell to Deputy Chief William Schweizer. He retired after a 37 year career in 2012, serving in some of the busiest companies in the city. Rest Easy Chief

Today in P.F.D. History, May 16, 1976, 4 Brave Philadelphia Firefighters lost their lives while fighting a 4 Alarm Fire at the Former Barsons Overbrook Restaurant Delicatessen located at 8354 Bustleton Ave. Rest In Peace Brothers and Thank You For Your Service.

This weekend, firefighters & many families from around the country will be traveling to Emmitsburg Md to honor our Fallen Hero's. Please remember them, especially Captain Sean J. Williamson who made the ultimate sacrifice.
