You can’t sit on a chair for 2 hours without touching your phone, but dream about LBSNAA every night. Harsh truth: most UPSC aspirants are not “working hard” they are just consuming content about working hard. Notes, podcasts, strategy videos, topper talks, productivity hacks… anything except sitting quietly and studying, reading reading and reading Some of you don’t need another coaching institute. You need the ability to sit alone in a room, keep your phone away, and read same books again and again and again for 8 hours avg daily without needing constant stimulation like a child. UPSC is a psychological elimination test disguised as an exam. 5 failed attempts taught me this exam punishes distraction more than stupidity. I’ve realised this exam is less about intelligence and more about whether you can live like a monk for 2 years. I want only super serious aspirants who can handle brutal honesty. Entering my 6th and final attempt in 2027. I have only hand hold you for GS 1 paper, but sitting on your chair for 8 hours daily whout phone or laptop is something you have to do by yourself DM if interested

@PIBinUPSC True.... but you also have to consider just only empathy and humanity does not give the job and better salaries, for that you need skills also which aspirant often neglect in exam cycle. I have experienced that.

Contrary to the below point of view of wasting time on UPSC Here is what I feel and have experienced Please read it I believe by the fact that someone is studying for UPSC no matter if you clear or not but if you have spent considerable time reading about India’s history geography economics environment then you grow immensely, you develop empathy and appreciation for our beautiful country You understand the diversity and the differences we carry, you become mature and develop critical thinking, your knowledge is very wide and you literally understand any topic under the sun Productivity is a western concept, measuring human worth based on output, based on numbers etc etc is not something we should keep worrying about Rather think about the change these young students might have experienced in themselves by simply sitting and reading plethora of books on variety of subjects It’s life changing I became a far far far better human being than I was before I had started preparing In that sense UPSC is different from any other competitive exams It changes you mentally, builds your personality and character even if you don’t clear You would never regret the clearings and the experiences

a country cannot become globally dominant while millions of educated youth spend their peak productive years chasing a handful of government seats instead of building businesses, creating technology, doing research, developing industries, or gaining real world skills. and when repeated failure breaks confidence, many walk away with burnout, anxiety, low self worth, and years of lost momentum. this is no longer just an exam issue. it is becoming a national productivity issue. a society where talented youth fear experimentation and only chase secure jobs eventually slows its own future.

I have a hot take on the 2026 CSE Pre. If you really go through the paper, there were some questions which were to be left alone (possibly even 15 20), the remaining 80 questions, could be attempted with some inference. Out of those, you just need 45 questions to qualify.

420 aspirants have joined my newly made telegram, I will share crazy resources I am curating, I am planning to do YT live streams or maybe google meet lectures on my notes what is it different from other coaching and tutors? I am already in the UPSC cycle, given last 5 prelims and would be giving my last attempt in 2027, since I'm in the cycle, I am better placed than coaching folks

I have not cleared CSAT even once But managed to clear GS score multiple times But I do not understand the uproar I found GS paper not that difficult And GS was also moderate though English was bit on higher end and lengthy mathematics questions as well However I won’t say it’s unfair It’s an elimination match and if you don’t understand what all need to improve on you miss out of the next round Don’t take this exam to heart Failures have taught me this yet now I’m left with last 6th attempt

2 serious attempts are more than enough to build strong understanding about India, society, governance, economics, history, and human behavior. beyond that, many aspirants are not gaining proportionate wisdom, they are simply trapped in repetition, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion. spending your entire 20s trying to become a better person is not a luxury a developing country can afford from its most talented youth. a nation progresses when intelligent young people apply their knowledge into businesses, research, technology, administration, problem solving, and wealth creation not when they remain stuck in an endless exam cycle for 6 to 8 years. growth is important. awareness is important. but there has to be a balance between self development and real world contribution

Clearing UPSC in 1st attempt can make you a topper; failing 5 attempts teaches you how this exam actually destroys people, was it bad strategy, fake guidance, endless booklists, ego, isolation, burnout or simply not enough hard work? I’m entering my 6th and final attempt in 2027, and I probably understand the psychology of failing this exam better than most “mentors” selling motivation online. Starting a collaborative guidance for genuinely serious aspirants. I am not here to waste time or lie to myself drop a DM if interested

@_Abhi_Ke_Abhi I would agree with you But my point is to state that studying for UPSC should not be compared with productivity like concepts which are more quantitative rather the qualitative outcomes you might get by preparing Rest I agree with you

Let’s not romanticise the exam ecosystem too much. Even among selected officers we still see corruption, arrogance, inefficiency and abuse of power regularly. UPSC preparation alone does not automatically create morally superior human beings.

@DSistu @PIBinUPSC Csat I was more inclined towards passage which was really difficult this year and almost 10 questions got wrong and 3 silly mistakes in reasoning maths costed this. But I'm still hopeful 🤞

@DSistu @PIBinUPSC I followed 2 different sources for current and everything else was from same static source. Gave around 35 mocks Main factor was calmness on the day, I saw gs paper in the first min and told myself that I have to solve this here only and attempt max number of questions. Thats it
