a country cannot become globally dominant while millions of educated youth spend their peak productive years chasing a handful of government seats instead of building businesses, creating technology, doing research, developing industries, or gaining real world skills. and when repeated failure breaks confidence, many walk away with burnout, anxiety, low self worth, and years of lost momentum. this is no longer just an exam issue. it is becoming a national productivity issue. a society where talented youth fear experimentation and only chase secure jobs eventually slows its own future.

Contrary to the below point of view of wasting time on UPSC Here is what I feel and have experienced Please read it I believe by the fact that someone is studying for UPSC no matter if you clear or not but if you have spent considerable time reading about India’s history geography economics environment then you grow immensely, you develop empathy and appreciation for our beautiful country You understand the diversity and the differences we carry, you become mature and develop critical thinking, your knowledge is very wide and you literally understand any topic under the sun Productivity is a western concept, measuring human worth based on output, based on numbers etc etc is not something we should keep worrying about Rather think about the change these young students might have experienced in themselves by simply sitting and reading plethora of books on variety of subjects It’s life changing I became a far far far better human being than I was before I had started preparing In that sense UPSC is different from any other competitive exams It changes you mentally, builds your personality and character even if you don’t clear You would never regret the clearings and the experiences
