In November 2023, Promise underwent the hours-long surgery he had waited for all his life. Today, he’s on the road to recovery, with the APZU team by his side, guiding each step.

Last year, Promise Douglas’s family made a difficult decision. At just 9 years old, Promise was struggling with every breath, his lips tinged blue from a heart defect that made the simplest activities feel impossible. Promise's story 🧵👇🏾
