I love both and i know why Destiny hasnt been/couldnt be handled the same way Marathon is being handled right now (pure bliss btw) but seeing the open commes, Ziegler actively talking and such really makes me Lament how Destiny overall was handled.

why is Duos an “issue”?
from a game dev perspective, you don’t want to keep splitting the user base and matchmaking pool. the game was designed and balanced for Trios, with Solo/Rook options.
maybe they can add duos in 2027, does not seem urgent in the slightest. 2v3 is fun!

Still not over Marathon ditching Destiny-level fashion for Heroes.
They could’ve just tied the “hero” abilities to something like a core, then drop new cores each season or something.
