Rhea falls 4-3 to McMinn as the Cherokees scored 3 runs in the 7th on only one hit. One run scored when a Cherokee was caught in a rundown & a player on 3rd beat the tag at home. Another run came on a wild pitch/passed ball. Tough way to lose a game.

The Eagles take a 3-1 lead over McMinn in the bottom of the 4th on RBI singles by Jaxon Schmitt & Harrison Tilley.

Rhea baseball ties the game 1-1 in the 2nd. Corydon Butler singles, steals 2nd & 3rd & scores on a sac fly by Halston Shaver.

Congratulations to former Lady Raider Basketball Coach Rachel Powell Moore! She was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame last night. Rachel was the CHS Coach from 1999-2011.

The Lady Eagles are the Battle at the Creek champions after defeating Sale Creek 44-25. Making the all-tournament team is Jenna Burchard, Jetta Sharp & Cammie Ruehling. Lakyn Lockhart is the Tournament MVP. The Rhea boys are next up in a semifinal game vs Brainerd.

Rhea County’s appeal for its placement in a new district for basketball, baseball, softball & bowling has been denied. From 2025-2027 Rhea’s district in baseball, softball & basketball will include McMinn, Farragut, Bearden, Hardin Valley Lenoir City & Oak Ridge.

Rhea County falls to Oak Ridge 7-6 despite a great effort by the Eagles. Good season for Rhea County, the future is bright for this team.

The Eagle earn a 16-0 shutout over Walker Valley. They may now be the favorites to win the Region. Rhea will play at McMinn Co. Next week.
