@spiritofshankly I turned 18 that year and was in higher education I can remember thinking when the kop gets seated , I’m gonna struggle Luckily for me I was given a season ticket by a neighbour which cost me £180 in the new kop stand . But , yes financially the cost of going changed in 94.

It was £8 to get in - adjusted for inflation that would now be £17.20 & that’s when gate receipts were a lot more important for clubs before the global TV money bonanza
