President Trump claims Denmark can’t defend #Greenland. Not true. If it ever came under attack, #Denmark would invoke Article 5. What Trump is actually saying is he won’t defend Greenland unless the U.S. owns it. If this is his policy, it means the end of the #NATO alliance.

Donald Trump is the most visible man in the world. He is an influencer with an army. That said, it’s unlikely the world is going to buy what he is promoting.

Stephen Miller says power governs the world. Well, there is this idea of government by consent. So, thinking through his designs to take #Greenland, I guess he deports all of its citizens, since they oppose this. That would just leave the minerals, which is Trump’s real interest.

At critical moments, world leaders must stay in the moment. President Trump is stuck in the past by referring yet again to what he considers the Russian “hoax” from the 2016 election. He had little to say about the key subject of his meeting with Putin, that being Ukraine.

President Trump now faces similar questions regarding #Iran that Presidents Clinton and Bush could not satisfactorily answer following many confrontations with #Iraq. What might they still be hiding and what will they do with it?

This is a compelling debate, very substantive.

Um, we only have one President at a time. As President-elect, he does not have the authority take action to “end the war in Ukraine” before he takes office. On January 20, if elected, he can do what he wants, not before.

Bottom line: this press conference will not enhance the case for another four years. Quite the opposite.

Another major public event where President Biden reinforces the perception that he is in decline, confusing Trump and Harris on top of confusing Putin and Zelenskyy earlier in the day. This is tragic, but also unsustainable.

Not seeing either candidate as a winner in this debate. Both are performing poorly.

Give President Biden credit here. Trump is now well down a Stormy rabbit hole.

Putin is obsessed with #Ukraine. He decided to invade Ukraine based on his own interpretation of Russia’s national interest. It’s nonsensical to think he would not have gone through with it based on who was sitting in the White House.

There will be many twists and turns in the @CNN debate, but Trump is making broad statements (many false) that his followers will cheer. While Biden recovered with his response to a national abortion ban, he is spending too much time in the policy weeds.

The lack of transparency surrounding Secretary Austin’s hospitalization is more than a procedural screw up. His medical treatment was described as an “elective procedure.” A tummy tuck is elective. Prostate cancer is not. The terminology deployed misled the press and the public.

So, four GOP candidates for Speaker down and how many to go? 218?
