@Briojyq @Samu26447780 @CnManicPixie It’s not the hairstyle itself that’s anti black is the usage of braids to hide your natural hair. Some blk wm get braids back to back without ever wearing their natural hair because they are ashamed of it. Same with ppl straining their locs etc. It’s not the hairstyle itself.

@Samu26447780 @CnManicPixie I don’t wear wigs nor braids…so I don’t know what ‘heat’ I’m standing in. You also struggle to read because I never said locs by nature is anti black READ!

@MagicVava @PJMINDOLL @CnManicPixie Braids in no way hide African identity, I understand not wearing them always but I imagine people can go months without them so to me it doesn’t make sense to lump them with weaves.

@Samu26447780 @CnManicPixie There’s no point trying to dismantle anti blackness and not do it fully. This isn’t ‘defection’ it’s just your turn to also be apart of the uncomfortable conversation.

@Samu26447780 @CnManicPixie The girl that started this discourses actually is wacking EVERYONE because the topic is ANTI BLACKNESS with blk hair. The ppl with braids and locs think they can get away with it cause the ones that wear wigs are always getting lashings so it would never truly be your turn.

@BackOutsideGrl @PBandGelii Tbf blk wm in the uk were also having a hard time with it, but the lady in the video has started a trend/ movement and I’m surprised at the positive reaction and mutual exchanges that happening at least online. It small but in long term can get bigger

@BackOutsideGrl @PBandGelii Blk wm are acknowledging that they resonate with what she’s sayibg, videos are being made from others wearing their natural hair in public for the first time in a while, and even blk mn are now being addressed with the hatred they have for their hair.

I love how this video escaped the Black British circle and now I’m seeing the worst takes and a clear lack of comprehension on here. If your only takeaway from this video is “let BW do what they want with their hair”, you’re not listening properly.
@BALUCIAGA

I think it’s so fascinating how society is so trained to see the smallest amount of filler and Botox in a women’s face but a man with excessive cheek filler isn’t detectable…this quite literally the Alton mason special
