@NotTheJoeMarino I’d say Bryam, but I have a gut feeling they get both guys resigned. Just seems like too much fun and too bright a future to leave now. Especially with the cap going up so much the next 3 years. Who knows how high it could be later on in those contracts. Could be a steal by then.

@ByMHarrington I agree, looks like Stanley/Schenn are struggling to play at Buffalo’s pace. I’d possibly insert Stanley against a team like Tampa that play the after the whistle game.

Off early returns of the first couple games after the trade, it's hard to justify Metsa being out of #Sabres lineup like he was Thursday. Right now, the top 6 should Samuelsson-Dahlin Byram-Power Kesselring-Metsa --- Stanley and Schenn get in based on need/pugilism etc.

@AfterLeWhistle Additions of Stanley, Carrick, Schenn have given the rest of the team how Craig would say it “King Kong balls”. Honestly, A+ deadline IMO

@JSymon86 @AfterLeWhistle It’s more about knowing they have guys that play very physical and are willing to stand up for teammates/bully the opposition. It’s a free feeling knowing you have guys like that on the squad. It’s not flashy but it’s important.

@PJMurray12 @AfterLeWhistle Totally. It has been really apparent during the stretch where they have won basically every game they have played that they are lacking confidence. Having a bad defenseman or two that can get blown by and then spend some time in the box is going to be crucial down the stretch.

How are we feeling about these moves?

@Ben_Mathewson Tbh I was off the Power train, but seeing a glimps of his potential when he’s playing confident has me thinking no shot Buffalo can get rid of him.

Not trying to claim responsibility for the Sabres turnaround this season, but my Wife and I got married Dec 5th and were on honeymoon in Banff where we watched Buffalo look awful against Calgary. I turned to her and said Buffalo is going to go on a heater and make the playoffs.

Doesn't matter if it's Robert Thomas or anyone else: I'm not messing with the #Sabres defense corps. Obviously, Dahlin and Samuelsson wouldn't be on the table but I'm not parting with Power or Byram either.

@DuaneS39 IMO no way he’s not in the lineup today. All the speculation is theatre. Imagine how pumped the dudes gotta be to get back after winning gold and lead Sabres to playoffs for the first time in a century. I bet you he goes on a tear. Confidence on an all time high. My hot take.

Game winner - Jack Hughes - was going to be a star from birth. Best player - Connor Hellebuyck. Played Michigan high school hockey - to NAHL - to UMass Lowell - to the AHL - to now. EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT PATH.

NBC says players flying back to Miami tomorrow rather NYC area due to snowstorms. You seriously have to wonder if #Sabres tell Tage Thompson to stay put down there and meet them for practice Thursday in Fort Lauderdale rather than play Wednesday in Jersey.

Sad to see another CFB head coach leave for the NFL because they're sick of the NIL chaos.
