@Pistons__Talk They'll do nothing! That's what Detroit teams do. They ignore clear as day deficiencies & act like it will all work out if they're just "gritty" enough! Town full of loser GMs & owners.
English

@omarisankofa And what exactly have the Lions proven since then? Nothing! It's not crashing out when you can see clear deficiencies that take in charge just choose to ignore. In the Pistons case however, our best players choked when they were needed most. You can't tell me that's growth.
English

People crashed out when the Lions lost to the Niners after breaking a 32-year playoff win drought. None of this is surprising lol
Anthony@DetroitGotNext
@omarisankofa Like why is this the discourse? I never understand that perspective. We showed growth, time to improve and perform even better next season. We got that 1 seed and folks forgot where we were 2 years ago.

@woodwardsports @WoodwardPistons @NBA @DetroitPistons Remind me what he did in the biggest game of his career again?

Pistons didn't show up for Game 7, and that's what stings the most freep.com/story/sports/c…

Needed better from Cade. He was flat and played like he was outta gas.
Hoop Central@TheHoopCentral
Cade Cunningham tonight: 13 Points 5/16 FGM 0/7 3PM -32 +/- 37 Minutes

That’s coach speak.
The 1 seed didn’t make it out of the 2nd round. Lost back to back games on their home floor. Lost by 31 points in a non competitive game 7
How in the world is that not a disappointment?
Hunter Patterson@HunterPatterson
J.B. on whether this season was a disappointment: “It’s not a disappointment at all. Not ever will I be disappointed in these guys. These guys, every single day, give us what they’ve got. … It’s a loss, it’s a tough loss. But that adjective will never be used with this group.”
English

@KuKhahil Call it what you want, but your best player, your "super Star" can't disappear in a game like this. Cade played lazy on defense and looked uninterested on offense. If I didn't know better I'd say he threw the game. His performance was THAT bad!
English

It’s tough to hear this now and I understand fans are very upset and sad about how this ended.
But, this was a great year for the Pistons. They took the next step. They had massive improvement. The roster had clear flaws that came to bite them, but they did the absolute most with what they had.
Absolutely heartbreaking way for the season to end, but after the dust settles everyone will be able to acknowledge that.
English

@KoryEWoods Sorry... No! He's played every game in these playoffs. I'm not giving him a pass for disappearing when he was needed most. The pressure came and he collapsed. He needs to be better or we need to find a true #1 and let him be #2.
English

@omarisankofa He played like a complete bum when he needed to be a star. Cade as your best player needs to be evaluated. Right now, of he's your best player, you're never winning anything. Your best player can't disappear in your most important game of the season.

@sickpodadamrank @adamrank They won 7 games on the last possession of the game, didn’t address their main need on defense, had an underwhelming draft, minimal impact in FA, and have the toughest schedule on paper. Factor in Caleb having splash plays but lacking consistency-it screams backwards trajectory
English

@FootballGuy_Al It's all about these losers being butt-hurt that their "Consensus" board was pretty much laughed at by every GM this year. They can't fathom that they don't know as much as the guys that actually do this for a living!
English

The Detroit Lions used their first two draft picks on talented players at premium positions of need who were also the highest-rated players on their board at those respective positions in LT Blake Miller and DE Derrick Moore.
Yet national media analysts continue to overly nitpick the selections because those players weren’t the highest-ranked prospects on their personal boards. Some still insinuate the Lions took the “safer” player over the more talented ones.
At some point, Brad Holmes deserves more benefit of the doubt when it comes to evaluating talent from the people who consistently believe they know better. The Lions’ draft process was sound, and they came away with competitive contributors.

@ProFootballTalk I'm pretty sure NFL teams aren't in the habit of calling TERRIBLE college coaches for advice.

Deion Sanders is disappointed he didn't hear from the Jaguars about how to coach WR/CB Travis Hunter. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@IAmEricVincent He got tripped and bodied on his last drive too, and that AFTER the garbage double dribble call!
