@801Rob Yes, it's the bare metal option! A bit too much for me these days! Sadly, most platforms seems to be becoming more broker specific (like NT), so, whilst some very nice platforms, not so nice brokers. cTrader appealed to me for this reason, but it's really gone nowhere in years.
English

@801Rob I use a few. Mostly NT8 as the main platform, but also Ctrader and IB. This MCP was coded to download from ctrader as they have their open API. I'd usually be using Ninjtrader, as that's what I trade in, but they've been pissing me off lately, plus, no API! lol.
English

@801Rob Windows. C# for the main agents (using microsoft agent framework as template), but actually the MCP server is running in Python. Just because I already had a couple like that and using node.js
English

@801Rob 'twas a bit of a struggle to get the API running, but now I have the agents taking data for symbols, periods, etc., as they please :)

@GCC_Trader @NinjaTrader Now they just need to remove single sign on rubbish and the orange branding, and I will be happy :) Cheers!

@PJSmith @NinjaTrader 8.1 is fine @PJSmith. They ironed out the bugs, its working well.
They told me that CQG Continuum is finished, and the 100+ Levels of DOM I have reduces to NT Inhouse feed, which L2 is 30 levels. 30 Levels is useless. L1 is 10 levels.
English

Well, that sucks. Finally being forced off @NinjaTrader 8.0.28 if you want to still use NT brokerage (and what else is left!?). Nice to get 2 weeks notice... Not sure I can fully express my dislike for 8.1+ !

@DitroniX @TheSolarShed Had mine installed for a long time now. Kept records all the way. Second hand from a farm in the UK. Small, and in a suboptimal place, but still paid for itself and gives me a happy face. Commercial install here would likely make it not viable (V expensive).

Having used Solar for years in the UK, for both home and workshop power, they certainly do work well.
In fact, all of my boards are based on ideas for both mains and battery monitoring, and also in use daily around the World.
It does not matter what the size of the system, or if you have batteries, or not. Any small, or large, investment that you can undertake to help save money from the bill, is worth looking at.
See so many bungalows, for example that have easy access roof, or garage roofs, that could easily accommodate say four panels (configured in typical 2 series and 2 parallel - 48V system), can cover a properties standing power. This means the fridge, electrical phone chargers, etc. Investment around £600. No electrician needed and all safe.
The important fact about solar is that it is easily expandable, so you put in a small system and it can 'grow' as your budget allows. For example by adding more panels as funds gather.
Also about UK sun and it apparently not having enough, or you property is not south facing, is all a total myth. East west sun works really well. The UK sun works perfectly and it is all down creative thinking on your property.
Flat surfaces such as walls and fences, are also great places to put panels. Do not be put off, if you have no roof access. Other surfaces can be just as good.
This pic is a south east facing fence example and is now producing enough to power all the house standing power, even heat the hot hub. The flat roof is an experiment and worked so well, it was made permanent.
Now is the right time to seriously look at your garage roof, or bungalow roof, even shed roof, and visualise the £ it can save you - easily. It really is not rocket science.
