The sooner you realise as a man that almost nobody cares about your problems, struggles or trauma The better. And most of the time even the few who DO care, can’t do anything practical to change it (I.e. excluding dua) Because ultimately it’s on YOU to put your trust in Allah and dig yourself out of whatever hole you find yourself in To deal with whatever trauma you have To fix the problems you face. Yes People can do it with you but they cannot do it for you They cannot convince you to unscrew up your life They cannot undo the past And most people are too busy dealing with their own pain to get caught up dealing with yours It’s on YOU to put your trust in Allah and figure a way out of the mess you’re in

When you are running late for a flight, you are panicking and rushing We’ve all been there Telling the kids or the Mrs to hurry up “We HAVE to make this flight! No matter what, we HAVE to!” You’re asking the taxi driver to go a little faster You’re praying all the traffic lights are green and that there’s no traffic You’re hoping the flight gets delayed, JUST so you can make it in time so you can spend a week or 2 lounging on a beach But… When you’re running late for fajr..? “I’ll sleep 5 more minutes” When your wife isn’t praying fajr? “Oh it’s okay she’ll start tomorrow” When your kids aren’t praying fajr? “They have exams, they need their sleep” Listen bro Your flight might be delayed by an hour, but the day of judgement will not be delayed by even the blink of an eye And look at how we panic over the first, whilst we don’t really care about the second “But we do care!” If we did, our actions would reflect that But do they? Do they really…?
