Gotta have a serious chat about recruitment. Can’t just blame Slot. £450m this summer and we’re genuinely worse. What were they thinking? My verdict on the signings 4 months in 👇 Mamardashvili - we play a high defensive line so need a sweeper keeper yet they buy a keeper who is mediocre with his feet and is like an old style goalkeeper. Kerkez - Can't defend, absolutely brainless defender, 40 million, seriously 🧐 Frimpong - To me this is the most baffling signing, lad is quick, that's about it, which one of our recruitment team thought he'd do a job as full back in the Premier League. Wirtz - lads massive potential but we bought a player for 100 million who isn't suited to the system we played, this is an example of really poor planning. Ekitike - the one success story but has been poor recently, whoever thought he could play with Isak needs sacking and he will quickly get annoyed if he is back up to Isak. Isak - probably the most needless signing in Premier League history once we signed Ekitike, clearly doesn't suit Liverpool style, doesn't press, is completely reliant on service and has injury issues, who thought it was wise to pay 120 million for him 🤔 Leoni - Can't rate his signing as what happened to him was so unlucky.
