@maxkellerman Maybe. Mantle occasionally hit lead off in his career (mostly a 3-4 spot), and with a lineup like that I don’t think he needs to spark those bats.

@PKalfa Could argue Lazzeri at 2nd (though you’d probably lose). Nettles at 3rd interesting because his defensive peak was among the greatest ever. Mantle is the obvious choice to leadoff on this team (arguably 2nd best offensive player on the team, ~450 OBP through his prime, very fast)

The point here is it’s important to read the standards and benchmarks. When I read them I had a better understanding of the intentions. That’s all.

There’s debate concerning teaching the Bible in public school. The standards and benchmarks Texas is using is specific to exploring the impact scripture has had on the history and literature of Western Civilization. Reading the educational standards is helpful. It makes sense.
