To artists, keep making what you are passionate about. Create from deep within. Do it now. Your vibe will attract your tribe. Keep going.

@imvelor Is that all you’ve got? Just accept the truth. Wrap it up. Move on. Go and listen to something that is not outdated and repetitive, what are you still doing here? Lol.

Who else are u making music for if not for the people. Are we suppose to buy tickets for ur shows or listen to ur music to please u? If people don’t like ur music no more, isn’t that a good reason to diverse ur lyrics and tune? Adjust and don’t complain. Listen to the people.

monoculture in the music business no longer exists. it’s a game of micro cultures. meaning stop tryna make the “biggest” song and start tryna make the most “you” song when you are being so specifically yourself, there will be a group of people who feel found by you

@imvelor I know it’s a hard pill to swallow but it’s a fact. You are not his core audience. You’re just someone online whining about his style being outdated and repetitive. These people that showed up for his tour are his core audience, he caters to them. Move on!

How it is in this time where monoculture is dying and niches are rising.

That whole “𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩” stance and attitude is trash. The world doesn’t revolve around you and your small circle.

It’s so hard for some people to understand that the world does not revolve around them or their views, feelings and values. They really think they’re the centre of everything.

Sometimes a single fan overestimates their importance and thinks an artist has to cater to them. That is not how it works. If you have outgrown where an artist has presently evolved to, it is ok to move on and no more be part of their core audience. Life goes on.

@imvelor The only people that really matters to an artist is their core audience. You are no more that and that is fine. If the artist is making something that is not your taste, that is not their problem as long as they have their core audience, he’ll be fine without you.

@PLTFRM_SE7EN You can still be authentic and diverse. And you’re funny to think the people who listen to his music don’t matter. Without the people, he will be a nobody.

@imvelor Nah, if you have outgrown his music then that is a YOU problem not a Russ problem. You are no more his core audience and that is fine. You can move on and find something else that fits your present taste. He doesn’t have to cater to YOU.

@PLTFRM_SE7EN Nah you’re wrong. I prolly play russ more than you. There’s not a single album or singles I don’t have of Russ. As a fan, I’m telling you his style of music is repetitive and outdated.

The trend of the general mainstream market might not be in alignment with you have to offer but that's ok you can thrive in your niche.

Seriously though, don’t people understand that rappers are like wrestlers? It is all an act! Everything is wrestling! Listen to LL Cool J make the same point as J Cole did.

Press play on an album tonight. Through speakers, not headphones. Turn up the volume. Put your phone face down on a surface. Lay down. Close your eyes. Live with the music. Live in your thoughts. Enjoy!

@IAMNOBODI the algorithm rewards frequency but the audience rewards identity. those are two different games and most artists dont realize theyre playing the wrong one until they have 200 songs and zero fans who can name them
