I've reviewed Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein in Bath for Spooky Isles. Everyone knows Bath for Jane Austen, but Mary Shelley wrote most of Frankenstein there in 1816-17, aged nineteen, while attending lectures about using electricity to reanimate the dead.

October 2025: Four UK Halloween attractions reviewed (Farmaggedon, FEAR, Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein, Halloween Haunt Fest), then Covid cancelled everything else. I spent recovery watching Shōgun, Sword of Doom, and way too much anime.

Bath's @Frankensteinbth After Dark runs throughout October each year. Absolute darkness across ten chambers. Something stroked my face and I couldn't tell what it was! If you're near Bath you should do this at least once.
