She couldn’t find the Luma’s mother, and she had no family to return to. Rosalina couldn’t get back what she lost, but gained something in the process. A new family. She took on the responsibility for them, giving them what she lost. Honestly, Rosalina’s one heck of a person.

If you read the pages thoroughly. It felt like Rosalina was going through denial after searching for the Luma’s mother in space, leaving her brother and father behind, who had died a long time ago, making her situation more heartbreaking after coming to terms with the truth.
