In the summer break of 2024, the TALEEM programme under the PMIU-PESRP is set to introduce FLN camps across 12 districts in Punjab offering remedial learning support to slow learners while imparting foundational literacy & numeracy skills to dropouts and out-of-school children.

The Additional Programme Director PMIU-PESRP, Mr. Imtiaz Shahid convened a meeting on FLN camps. Preparations are underway for the FLN camps in 12 districts of Punjab for 2024 with finalization of teacher nominations, content development & a robust school internship program.

Secretary SED Punjab Dr. Ehtisham Anwar convened a meeting with the World Bank's Implementation Support Mission for the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP). The discussion centered around the advancement of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) and future goals.

The Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) organized an orientation session for TALEEM, PHCIP, and ASPIRE teams on EFOAS by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for a more streamlined and paperless office environment.

Tablets Distribution Ceremony under TALEEM Programme TALEEM Programme, funded by @GPforEducation is providing tablets to all Primary Schools in Punjab. A Tablet Distribution Ceremony was organized at the PMIU-PESRP for distribution of the tablets to the CEO (DEAs).

The GPE Communication Team, led by Dr. Hoa Tranringrose, Chantal Rigaud and Sebastian Rich visited the TALEEM, PMIU-PESRP office. PD PMIU Muhammad Farooq Rasheed welcomed the esteemed guests followed by a detailed briefing on the advancement of the TALEEM Programme.

Consultative Meeting on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) Camps After the success of Learning Camps in 05 districts of Punjab, a consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of PD PMIU to plan the scale-up of the initiative to 12 districts of Punjab in 2024.

Visit to Government Model Girls High School, Rawalpindi and Government Girls Elementary School, Murree Road to assess the status of WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) facilities. RO plants have been successfully installed in these schools along with the rehabilitation of toilets.
