May 14-20, 2023 is Victims and Survivors of Crime Week in recognition of the issues facing victims and survivors or crime as well as the many service providers and volunteers who assist those who have been impacted by crime.

Today we acknowledge and honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and supporting families and communities who have been tragically touched by the loss of a loved one to violence. The Red Dress is symbolic of women and girls who are no longer with us.
