This is the reason we do mystery science at our remote whole school assemblies. It is so engaging when all kids K-5 can enter into the discussion! We started with “canned” topics, now kids are generating the questions. Last week was all about Jellyfish- attendance is increasing!

@PNWKelly @PrincipalAKoch I think it is fourth grade only, but still worth doing. I had forgotten about it until seeing your post🙂. I think fourth graders get a free pass for the year if they sign up.

Has anyone done the Junior Rangers program, with their kids, at our #NationalParks? What if our schools did this? If we connected kids with one Nation Park each month of the school year. Think of the amazing science and social studies topics we could cover - wheels are spinning!

I wept when I read this... I heard @chrisreykdal made an announcement today- but I had not seen this yet. This means SO much to educators nationwide! I feel seen. I feel valued. I feel ... happy! Happy tears. I can’t stop crying. Thank you!

Change is hard and inevitable in crisis. Each leg of our journey has brought challenges and unexpected benefits. ❤️ I’m thankful for the co-pilots and navigators guiding us through these times. We are learning what we are capable of, we remember we can do hard things. Buckle up!

@PNWKelly Same - I spoke to the exact same quote in our meeting yesterday! Too often I think we consider the consequences of action... I need to push myself to flip my thinking.

As we get near students possibly returning, I am getting excited to be a principal again. This season of being an educator has been lonely and isolating. I am blessed to have a team that sets the bar high. In the future I will look back and be proud of the work we have done.

Starting my day knowing that our executive branch leadership is working to unify the country. ❤️❤️❤️ We need the rest of our US government to follow suit. Let’s roll up our sleeves and work together to improve this country.
