11th International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June, 2025 6.30 am onwards in the premises of DPPQS, MoA&FW under the guidance of Dr. J.P. Singh, Plant Protection Adviser with active participation from all Divisional in-charges, Officers and staff members.

The meeting, held from 12 to 16 May, brought together global experts to approve the new draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures and draft specifications, and to reflect on the future direction of standard development and implementation.

Dr J P Singh, PPA participated in the Standards Committee of the International Plant Protection Convention at FAO HQ in Rome, having made significant progress on multiple draft international standards and strategic discussions to strengthen the IPPC’s standard-setting framework

Dr. J P Singh, Plant Protection Adviser, DPPQ&S, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt of India, presented how India has Integrated the IPPC Plant Health Campus and its e-learning courses, into the country’s national training system for plant health professionals.

At this occasion, Dr. J.P. Singh, Plant Protection Adviser, was honored with the "Honorary Fellow" for his substantial contributions to the field of Entomology in India.

The Entomological Society of India (ESI) on 7th January, 2025 organised a national symposium titled "Frontiers in Entomology-2025" and also its "Foundation Day" at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.

स्वच्छता के विशिष्ट अभियान 4.0 के अंतर्गत वनस्पति संरक्षण संगरोध एवं संग्रह निदेशालय, फरीदाबाद के अंतर्गत विभिन्न परिसरों का सौंदरर्यीकरण एवं अनुपयोगी मिसिलों का निस्तारण किया गया।

Dr. J.P. Singh, Plant Protection Adviser, highlighted the necessity of creating identification models for additional critical pests and diseases that impact major crops. The meeting was attended virtually by representatives from CIPMC across the nation.

These models are intended for integration with the National Pest Surveillance System (NPSS). On September 2, 2024, they visited the headquarters of DPPQ&S.

Mr. Rob Strey, the Chief Technology Officer, and Mrs. Simone Strey, the Chief Executive Officer and co-founders of Plantix, a private firm based in Germany, are currently engaged in the development of pest identification models for significant agricultural pests.
