A representative of the City corporate office promised me the deduction will be credited to my account today itself. But nothing happened as she promised. So, I tried to call back to the corporate department, but the call was connected to the same customer service in Gothamala, and I couldn't get reasonable answer. The problem is remains unsolved

To my fellow @Citibank customers: Beware of relying on their "Stop Payment" portal. Even with a confirmation email, my account was debited today. Dealing with uninterested support lines was a dead end—only my local Floral Park branch could help. Corporate needs to put local expertise over offshore automation.

Citibank should stop outsourcing its customer service. I have been an account holder with this bank for twenty-five years and am now a priority customer. However, I have been experiencing great inconvenience and anxiety while accessing its services online. The reason is that at some point or another, when accessing its services online, my request was related to a foreign country, and the service providers had no responsibility, promotion or language skills regarding local customers. I have been subjected to this unpleasant experience in the past. I would like to inform the corporate community of this bank and other American customers of just one of these instances. While preparing my tax returns this time, my accountant had automatically collected an unpaid payment from my bank account to NYS (today) and as soon as it was realized, the error was corrected and an amendment was sent back. After being informed of this, I called Citibank on the 9th of this month to stop the payment, and it was directly related to Guatemala. After a few minutes, I had difficulty understanding the employee who answered me, so I asked for her supervisor. I was not impressed by the way she spoke, so I got her name and service number, along with her promise to stop the payment. Also, on the suspicion that she did not provide a reference number for this note, I used my computer to stop the payment and received a confirmation email on the same day. However, both of these statements were not processed and the bank had already debited this payment from my bank account this morning. Every time I called the bank to object to this, the calls were connected to the usual Guatemala and Philippines, and to no avail, to Citibank. Every opportunity to talk to corporate was blocked by these automated systems. I then had to go to the Floral Park, NY branch to report this and the personal banker I dealt with there spoke to corporate and gave a brief solution to the problem. I will not mention the name. But the bank needs to understand that local is more effective than uninterested foreign workers.

People who often talk tough but are not very sympathetic are actually softer than others think. Many people see them as demons based on some of the things they say. But this is extremely false. The clearest example I see of this is President Trump. He said a week ago that he would eradicate Iranian civilization. But I have come to understand that his goal is not to destroy such a profound world civilization. Every great man, after gaining the power and wealth he needs, wants to die a man who has done something for the world. That is the nature of real people that I see and have seen. Therefore, many people should learn to look not at the surface but at the inside.

President Trump has suspended the Gulf War for two weeks, as agreed in a peace conference in Pakistan. This may be a great relief to many people who are seeking world peace. However, this may not be the case for some of the friends who are trading fake news that did not happen, on the Internet, on YouTube. The reason is that they have lost the income they earned from selling rotten fish for a while. Oh, but I forgot one thing. They can go back to their usual business by saying, "Look, Trump got scared and stopped the war.
