“What if they don’t stop being rapists?” we will work on that, providing a better answer than “continue to let them rape inmates we hate in prison”

@AQuartermain @Girl_hick There are many books detailing prison abolition and potential follow-up systems, and I would encourage you to look into them, because the details and logistics are BOOKS worth of length, not TWEETS worth of length
But the work to plan this is being done/is already done

@AQuartermain @Girl_hick No, we will institute a more ethical and less slavery/rape filled system focused on rehabilitation. It will not be perfect, but it will be something we can expand and develop after we’ve stopped the endless rape and slavery machine

Unfortunately for some, I believe rehabilitative justice is something all are worthy of receiving!

@Miskruier If you’d like more logistical specifics, I’d recommend reading literature on Prison Abolition and possible new systems, because the logistics of this change are simply too complicated for a Twitter thread I’m writing on my work break!

I think drawing the distinction between “trans women being raped in prison” and “v-coding: the specific process by which trans women are roomed with violent men with the goal of them being raped (to pacify the man)” is exceptionally important
