“can i do anything for you?” he questioned softly as he sat down on the edge of the bed gently beside her.

a small shrug of her shoulders lifted after a few minutes, energy depleted and feeling like no amount of sleep would aide how she felt.
just hoping tomorrow, she would feel the energy come back & be her happy self again after the last 48 hours.

he comes home without much on his mind. genuinely just exhausted from how the day had been. but the second he spots her in bed, a warm smile appeared on his lips. he had missed his wife. “hey darling.” he murmured.

another day off work, and she’s curled up in bed before @ARROGANTAVIATOR from feeling so awful after carole had taken RJ for a mini sleepover evening.

as the door was knocked on, cleo glanced towards it before glancing at where RJ was in the hope that she wasn’t getting excited.
noticing she was too involved with her current disney movie infatuation, the brunette headed to the door and gently opened it with a softened smile.

He was there in about five minutes. Sliding from his bronco he made his way to her door, knocking gently. He didn’t get the chance to visit his friend, practically sister and his little niece as often as he liked. But he loved stopping by whenever he could.

it didn’t take long for cleo to have RJ sat in front of one of her favourite new disney movies, mini hands clapping as cleo was in the living room writing down some notes for a case.
excited to see her daughter’s reaction to her favourite person.

jake nodded softly, completely understanding where she was coming from. “i understand that darlin’.” he murmured and pressed another kiss to her head. “i’m doing okay, just tired from work.”
