On Monday, April 22, 2024, part of Prince William Forest Park will be completely closed to the public from 6:00am through around 3:30pm, including Pine Grove Picnic Area, Park Entrance Road, Visitor Center, Camp 3, and nearby trails. Visit nps.gov/prwi/learn/man… for more details

Starting August 21, Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground as well as the orienteering course will be closed for infrastructure repairs. The Turkey Run parking area as well as the hiking trails will remain open. For your safety, please do not enter the fenced off construction area.

Due to the National Weather Service Red Flag Warning today, 4/18/2023, Prince William Forest Park has banned campfires and charcoal fires in the park until 8pm or the Red Flag Warning expires. Visitors may continue to use camp stoves and propane grills for cooking.

Please use caution when driving along the Scenic Drive from December 12 to sometime in January as a project to place new timber guard rails will close one lane of the road in the area just south of the Turkey Run Road where Scenic Drive meets itself.
