It’s over: Nintendo has announced that starting in May new physical games will get more expensive in the Americas. This was already a thing in Europe where physical games are usually 10 euros more expensive. Pokémon Winds and Waves $80 physical (or more) all but confirmed now.

@PlayerEssence Apparently I’m reading Yoshi is a budget game that would’ve cost $60 but will now be $70 physical and that Nintendo is bad for doing this I thought this was good news since it didn’t make sense digital price being the same as physical 😭

Nintendo has announced that 1st party games moving forward exclusive on Switch 2, will have different prices for digital vs physical. This is to reflect the cost production of the physical cart. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is $69.99 physical & $59.99 digital.

Horizon Chase and Horizon Chase Turbo will no longer be available to download starting June 1st. Horizon Chase 2 will still be available. The developer is owned by Epic (which just laid off over 1000 employees)
