Right now in Kansas City there's a measure on the ballot that would put $50 million dollars into affordable housing, creating over 2,000 units where the 1 bedrooms are $580 a month and 3 bedrooms are $725. This should happen everywhere.

RIGHT NOW: @RepCori and @SenWarren lead a bicameral delegation to introduce a new bill to #EndEvictions, alongside 11 tenants who have faced pandemic evictions, organized through the #HomesGuarantee.

Corine from @northwestbronx secured a commitment to a formal structure for @USTreasury to seek guidance from tenants on the rental assistance program. Randy from @HoosierAction demanded conditions attached to any money going direct to LLs, Dep. Sec. committed to consider them.

Later on Tuesday, the tenant delegation met with @RepMaxineWaters. The tenants came in with two asks: 1) cosponsor the bill to #EndEvictions and 2) commit to bring tenants to testify on their experiences in a series of House Financial Services hearings on tenant rights.
