This message is for all ENGENEs. Please read carefully. We are speaking for ALL our co-fanbases. Not just one. Not just a few. ALL OF THEM. Because we see it. Every day. We see how ALL fanbase teams are fighting and struggling just to stay in this fandom and keep each respective team running, even while drowning in verbal abuse, mental exhaustion, and nonstop pressure. Almost all fanbases are understaffed. Some are run by one person only. We are already lucky if there are 2–3 people running one. Yet people still demand updates as if fanbases are machines. It is not just about posting updates. It is about planning, monitoring, translating, verifying, and thinking ahead for the fandom while worrying about what comes next, all done for FREE and out of love. Yes, we miss updates sometimes. Because we are busy. Because we are offline. Because we are human. But none of that justifies verbal abuse. Open DMs do NOT mean open permission to attack and bully the fanbases. All these years, fanbases have received and drowned in messages like: “Go d**.” “K*** yourself.” “Useless bit**es.” “Worthless trash” “Hope you get ra*ed” “Rot in hell.” “You deserve to suffer” “Disappear already.” “Stupid” “F**k you” “Good for nothing.” “No one needs you here” “Hope something bad happens to you.” “Just admit it you’re an anti” Read all of that that again. Slowly. Take it in. Does it make you feel good? Do you really think any of the fanbases deserves that? We’re done pretending this is acceptable. NO team deserves abuse. Remember, we’re not connected to the company. We don’t have insider information. We are not paid. We are not all-knowing. We are just ordinary fans. LIKE YOU. Being a fanbase admin means: • Waking up to threats and messages so cruel they’re hard to process. Some people go as far as sending them through email. • Being seriously sick and still forcing yourself to post updates and do pubmats because you think, “What if ENGENEs miss this?” • Being present at important family moments but spending most of the time on your phone because updates never stop. Posting even a little late often leads to more curses and insults. This repeats again and again. • Being mentally exhausted and emotionally drained, yet still showing up because the fandom depends on fanbases. When fanbases do well, it is dismissed as expected. When fanbases make a mistake, we are told to die. When fanbases ask for time to rest and recharge, we are called selfish and shamed with “If you really love ENHYPEN, there is no such thing as being busy.” That mindset is cruel. It treats people as disposable the moment we stop functioning, simply because we are already drained, slowly running out, and because we also have real lives outside of this fandom that we are trying to survive. This is how people are pushed to their limits, and this is exactly how the fandom is damaged from the inside. And when one team finally speaks up, teams are labeled as acting high and mighty. But that is not arrogance. That is a person who has been emptied, exhausted, and worn down by constant disrespect. If anyone has all the time and energy to demand, criticize, and pressure fanbases to function nonstop, then step forward and take a spot in the fanbases that are clearly struggling and in need of people. Help carry the weight. But if you can’t even lift a finger, then the bare minimum is to give respect and understanding. People behind fanbases are honestly burned out. Many times, fanbases choose silence not because we have nothing to say, but because speaking up has been punished over and over again. That silence did not come from weakness, it came from exhaustion. And it should never have come to this. If fanbases disappear one by one, remember this moment. Remember the words sent, the pressure placed on people already drained, and the empathy that was withheld. Fanbases did not leave for no reason. They were pushed out. Think before you speak. Words last longer than you think.

Hello. We would like to address this once and for all. First, there is no such thing as “only accepting applicants if they’re FULLY OT7.” We have always prioritized Sunghoon-biased accounts — people who consistently support and uplift him. Every applicant is carefully reviewed to make sure they are genuinely active in supporting Sunghoon and, most importantly, NOT ENGAGING IN HATEFUL BEHAVIOR TOWARDS OTHERS. The Olympics were my very first dream, and I never imagined I would get to come here as a singer. On top of that, I was selected as a torchbearer this time, so it was a huge honor. Being able to carry the Olympic torch while receiving so much support and encouragement from so many people was a truly great happiness for me. As I cheer on the athletes, it also feels like I’m participating alongside them, and that makes me feel incredibly happy right now. Q. You also performed on a special stage at the awards ceremony together with Cha Jun-hwan. How would you describe his dancing skills? SH. Figure skating naturally has very beautiful lines, and his movements are extremely clean. That kind of line quality actually helped me a lot back when I was a trainee. Jun-hwan hyung moves so gracefully on the ice, and since the song we performed had a contemporary dance–like atmosphere, I think it suited him perfectly and he pulled it off really well. Q. An anecdote about lending a red outfit to athlete Kim Hyeon-gyeom SH. I think it was from a few years ago, but honestly, I didn’t even know about it at the time. Apparently, my parents and Hyeon-gyeom’s parents were in touch, and they asked to borrow it. I found it really fascinating that my clothes actually fit Hyeon-gyeom. I remember seeing him when he was just a little kid, and it really made me realize how quickly time flies… Q. Which ENHYPEN song would you recommend as a figure skating program? SH. There’s a song called “Chaconne.” It has a dreamy, slightly dark feel, more Black Swan than White Swan. It has a strong atmosphere, and I think it would pair really well with figure skating, so I’d like to recommend it. Q. A message encouraging the public to support the Winter Olympics. SH. I know very well how hard our Korean athletes have worked for this Olympics, and I believe that if more people show their support, the athletes will be able to achieve even better results. As a former member of South Korea’s national figure skating reserve team, Sunghoon expressed through his agency BELIFT LAB: “It is an emotional moment to step onto the Olympic stage I once dreamed of as an athlete, now as a singer. I’m thrilled to participate in the glorious journey of the Olympics. Thanks to ENGENE and sports fans, I received an incredible amount of energy.” The torch relay section near Milano Bolivar Station was packed with global fans who came to see Sunghoon. Hours before his appearance, the streets were already filled with fans wrapped in Korean flags and holding banners that read, “Go, Sunghoon!” in Korean, generating a heat that made even the cold weather fade away. The scene was filled with cheers calling out his name. As Sunghoon received the flame and began moving along the route, countless fans followed his steps, creating a remarkable spectacle. Before becoming a member of ENHYPEN, Sunghoon spent nearly 10 years as a male single figure skater.
