12 days to go! Princesses of the Early Middle Ages: Royal Daughters of the Conquest tells the stories of England's princesses, from the daughters of King Harold II to those of King John, exploring the lives of these young women, looking at the world they lived in, and how they were affected by political necessity and the events of the time. Their stories are touching, inspiring and, at times, heartbreaking. @penswordbooks @PSHistory @HistoriaHWA #womeninhistory #womenshistorymonth mybook.to/EarlyPrincess

Ooh, just realised that my new book is out two weeks today in the UK. Princesses of the Early Middle Ages: Royal Daughters of the Conquest tells the stories of England's princesses, from the daughters of King Harold II to those of King John. The book explores the lives of these young women, how they followed the stereotype, and how they sometimes managed to escape it. It will look at the world they lived in, and how their lives and marriages were affected by political necessity and the events of the time. Princesses of the Early Middle Ages also examines how these girls, who were often political pawns, were able to control their own lives and fates. Their stories are touching, inspiring and, at times, heartbreaking. @PSHistory @penswordbooks @HistoriaHWA #Womenshistorymonth2026 #womeninhistory mybook.to/EarlyPrincess
