Just a glance of what Congress has enabled by defeating the delimitation proposals of Modi Government. Now delimitation would happen on 543 seats only and as per 2027 census data (mandate of Constitution so would happen). Here is how Southern states lose out on 2011 census itself. Imagine what would happen basis 2027 data! This is what Congress has enabled.

I think bjp can use this to say that they tried to increase the seats proportionately instead of population wise since bill has failed, They can claim that it's not their fault and can run the delimitation as per 2027 census. Guess they will benefit in both cases. Just my view.🙄

The NDA government withdrew the Delimitation Bill 2026 before it went to a vote in Loksabha Today
A positive move for AP , TG, South and Whole India
It should now return after few months with a revised version that includes the 50% pro-rata clause, which was missing in the hastily introduced bill.
In its current form the bill has " Population based "readjustment of Loksabha seats which would have dented Telugu states and south badly
