We join the growing calls condemning the hateful conduct of Khallid Al-Alim, candidate for Board District 1. We applaud those who called for his removal from the race. Anti-semitic actions & voicing reprehensible moral opinions have no place in our society, let alone our schools.

National Coming Out Day was started in 1988 on the premise that prejudice thrives in silence. Every year on Oct.11, many people ‘come out’ as LGBTQ. Many more ‘come out’ as allies on behalf of their students and family members. #LGBTHistoryMonth
