I’m proud that people from nearly 200 countries work in our NHS. I completely condemn this racist violence and stand with our staff and the communities they live and work in. Thank you to our emergency services who are working hard to keep everyone safe.
Today's my last day as a clinical lead for @HWEICB. Over 10 years spent working for ICS and CCG. Proud of the work we've done as a #lifestylemedicine team and the legacy we leave with the Living Well Course, inspiring and training others to spread the word and support their patients. My team and I are sad to leave with work still to do but excited to work with others that have the vision and courage to develop this further. My message to @NHSEngland and ICS's across the country: if you don't recognise and resource #Prevention (and lifestyle medicine), whilst it may be everyone's job, it becomes no one's priority. As anyone who's ever seen a business case presented, "doing nothing" is always the first option. It's also pretty much always the worst one. Please don't settle for this. Do something. Everyone says prevention is better than cure. So put your money where your mouth is and invest in doing things differently. The alternative is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result...which we all know is madness. @jimmcmanusph @PSimey @hertscc #Wellbeing #NHS
