@Big_Sinudo Wike has executed what he promised his master by ensuring no candidate emerges from PDP so he demanded the bargain of his candidates to fill all positions in coming Rivers 2027 election. He can only reconcile with the other group before 2031 if the VP slot in APC is not reached.

SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT CONTINUES TO SHAKE WIKE FACTION AS ASPIRANTS BEGIN TO WITHDRAW WIKE-LED PDP STRUCTURE SUFFERS MAJOR BLOW AS SUNDAY GARBA BIGGS WITHDRAWS One of the strongest gubernatorial aspirants in Plateau State who purchased nomination forms under the Wike-backed faction of the so-called PDP structure has officially withdrawn from the process after extensive consultations with critical stakeholders, legal advisers, political associates, and genuine leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The withdrawal letter by Sunday Garba Biggs has further exposed the deep confusion, uncertainty, and lack of constitutional clarity surrounding the parallel structure being promoted by the Wike group in Plateau State and beyond. It is now becoming increasingly obvious that many aspirants were misled into participating in a process lacking legal certainty, institutional legitimacy, and broad acceptance within the party. This development is highly significant because it confirms what many loyal party members and stakeholders have consistently maintained from the very beginning — that the so-called factional arrangement was never built on constitutional legitimacy, but rather on political pressure, media propaganda, and deliberate attempts to create parallel authority within the PDP. The reality now confronting many aspirants is that political participation without clear constitutional backing carries serious legal and political consequences. This explains why credible stakeholders and aspirants are beginning to reconsider their involvement after carefully reviewing the legal implications of the Supreme Court judgment and the contents of the Certified True Copy (CTC) currently in circulation. The withdrawal of Sunday Garba Biggs should therefore serve as a strong wake-up call to others still associating themselves with structures whose legitimacy remains heavily disputed within the party. Politics is dynamic, but every serious political actor must ultimately align with constitutional order, legal sustainability, and the authentic organs of the party. Following the Supreme Court judgment, many political observers and legal analysts believe that the authority of the recognized constitutional organs of the PDP was substantially reaffirmed, particularly after the apex court declined to dismantle the party structure through judicial intervention. The genuine leadership of the PDP remains rooted in the constitutional organs of the party as established under the PDP Constitution and guided by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Internal democracy, due process, collective leadership, and constitutional order remain the pillars upon which the stability and future of the party must stand. Although administrative and recognition issues may still require further clarification in certain quarters, the broader legal and political direction within the PDP is becoming clearer with each passing day. More stakeholders are beginning to understand the realities surrounding the leadership struggle and the consequences of aligning with structures lacking constitutional legitimacy and institutional acceptance. At this critical moment, the PDP must place unity, reconciliation, constitutional order, and collective progress above factional propaganda, media manipulation, and unnecessary political conflict. The future of the party will not be determined by noise on social media, but by the ability of genuine stakeholders to work together in rebuilding a stronger, more united, and more credible PDP ahead of 2027.

When a Spokesman Goofed In politics and public communication, the responsibility placed on spokespersons is enormous. A careless statement, a reckless allegation, or a deliberate attempt to sensationalize issues for partisan gain can unnecessarily inflame tensions, damage reputations, and distort facts already before competent courts. This appears to be the situation arising from comments made on national TV by a spokesperson for the FCT Minister regarding the issues between Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, and his former close friend. Contrary to the impression allegedly created during the TV appearance, the matter before the High Court of the FCT, Abuja, does not contain any allegation that the learned SAN had an immoral relationship with the wife of his former associate. The learned silk’s refusal to participate in the custody battle, owing largely to his repeated efforts at mediating between the estranged couple over the years, angered his former friend, who thereafter made several spurious allegations against him, one of which was a threat to life. The then Inspector-General of Police directed that the allegations be investigated, and the findings reportedly showed that the allegations against the minister were false and malicious. He thereafter directed that the minister's friend be prosecuted in Court for character assassination and threat to life, amongst others. However, following the retirement of the then IGP, the police were compromised, and his directive to prosecute the minister's friend was twisted against the minister on the pretext that the minister's witnesses did not testify in accordance with his complaint. It is therefore surprising that any spokesperson would publicly embellish the matter on national television by introducing allegations that neither formed part of the police complaint nor the issues presently before the court. Such conduct raises serious questions about professionalism, restraint, and respect for due process. What makes the situation even more unfortunate is the long-standing relationship between the parties involved. The learned silk was reportedly not merely an acquaintance of his former friend; he played a pivotal role in the marriage itself. He reportedly stood as surety before the marriage and, over the years, repeatedly acted as mediator and counselor whenever disagreements arose between the couple. This is why many observers believe it was both inappropriate and unnecessary for anyone, particularly a media spokesperson, to go beyond the court records merely to score cheap political points amid factional disputes. Public commentary should not descend into speculation, exaggeration, or character assassination simply to impress political allies or settle internal disputes. Journalists and spokespersons alike must understand the limits of responsible public communication. Democracy thrives on vigorous debate, but such debate must be anchored on facts, fairness, and ethical responsibility. Deliberately spreading half-truths or introducing incendiary claims absent from official records is a disservice not only to the individuals involved but also to the integrity of public discourse. What is even more perplexing is that the controversial statement was made without any direct question that would have necessitated such a response. To many viewers, it appeared to be an undue attempt to sensationalize the issue and manufacture headlines where none existed. At a time when public trust in political communication is already fragile, spindoctors must exercise caution and restraint. Reckless statements may attract momentary applause within partisan circles, but in the end, they damage credibility, weaken institutions, and deepen societal divisions. Ultimately, matters already before the courts should be resolved strictly based on evidence and facts, not through emotional television rhetoric aimed at damaging reputations or influencing public opinion.

#FACTS on Tanimu Turaki On October 5, 2022, Kabir Tanimu Turaki (SAN) wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police against his friend, Saidu Mohammed Mainasara. Tanimu Turaki alleged that Saidu Mohammed Mainasara, was threatening his life, engaging in unbridled attempt to criminal defame him, and boasting that he will use MARABOUTS or HIRED ASSASSINS to KILL him (Turaki). Police investigated the allegations and established that: 1. Tanimu Turaki LIED against his own friend, Saidu Mohammed Mainasara. 2. Tanimu Turaki was having AMOROUS relationship with his friend's wife, Hafsat Najeeb Husseini. 3. For this reason, Tanimu Turaki was charged to court for misleading the police by providing false information. POLICE REPORT kuku dey Make Tanimu Turaki rush go court abeg. 😂😂😂😂

*What Makinde, Turaki, Others Did Was Nothing but MADNESS, GROSS IRESPONSBILITY - Supreme Court (Page 27) - Per Nwosu Iheme JSC* I must not fail to comment on the flagrant diobedience to the orders of injunction of the lower Courts by the Appellants in this uppeal When purties submit thernselves to the authority of the Courts, they are bound to obey the onders or injunctiams that ordinarily flow fhom the Courts, whether such orders are in their favour or against thern Some Political Parties in this Country have consistently made a Mockery ar Caricature of orders of Courts which do not go in their favour. They did not stop there, they shamelessly, brazenly, and desperately embarked on forum shopping. The Party Canvention of the 1st Appellant (PDP) in this Appeal which held on the 15 and 16 of November 2025 is a typical example. Not only did they flagrantly disobey the onders of the Federal High Court in Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS2120/2025 by Omotosho, they proceeded to taunt the Court by going to a High Court in Oyo State which is clearly a Court of Cordinate jurindiction to get a Counter order in their favour. This is nothing but MADNESS, GROSS IRESPONSBILITY (emphasis mine), quite contemptaous and clearly making a Mockery of a very serious business. I condemn it in very strong terms. *The said Convention which is a product of this MADNESS and IRESPONSIBILITY is accordingly declared null and void and of no effect whatsoever. All the decisions arrived at by this full-blown Madness are also set aside.* I also condemn the unethical conduct of some Judges who make their Courts available for forum shopping not due to poor knowledge of the law, but deliberate mischief, thereby diminishing the Majesty of the Courts and the entire Judiciary. They are simply playing with fire with all the attendant cosequences. It is trite that a party in contempt of the order of any Court whatsoever has no reason or justification to seek audience before another Court and no Court should grant such an iresponsible party audience for any reason at all. Some lawyers, including very Senior Lawyers who appear for these litigants and Political Parties have also not lived up to expectation in this very important aspect of their duty to their clients and to the Courts. This unprofessional conduct by some lawyers is regretable. If this gross iresponsbility continues, we will obviously be heading towards dooms day. On our part as a Policy Court and the Apex Court in the Country, we will not fold our hands in our efforts to preserve the integrity of our Judicial System. We must take steps to visit such recklesnes with the law as well as stop granting such recalcitrant parties audience in our Court.

🚨 Beware of Propaganda 🚨 Yesterday’s Supreme Court judgment only invalidated the Ibadan Convention. See channelstv.com/2026/04/30/sup… On Senator Sam Anyanwu and three others: the Court of Appeal last week upheld the one -month suspension issued at the PDP’s 608th NWC meeting on November 1, 2025. That suspension was not contested, and it lapsed on December 1, 2025. guardian.ng/politics/pdp-s… Upon its expiration, Senator Anyanwu and others were appointed into the Caretaker Committee on December 8, 2025. See dailypost.ng/2025/12/08/pdp… That committee worked toward the March 2026 Convention, which is recognised by INEC, with the current PDP leadership reflected on INEC’s portal today. See inecnigeria.org/political-part… I sincerely wish that all aggrieved members of our PDP family resolve matters amicably, while also wishing other political parties the very best in 2027 and beyond. The PDP will field candidates in the 2027 general elections and we shall definitely win a good number of seats. All the best Nigeria.🇳🇬 Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan Kogi Central

BEING TEXT OF A PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) HELD 1ST MAY, 2026 AT WADATA PLAZA, ABUJA ON THE OUTCOME OF THE SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT DELIVERED 30TH APRIL, 2026 Gentlemen of the press, distinguished members of our great party, and fellow Nigerians, We wish to first thank all Nigerians, particularly our loyal party members, who stood firmly by the party throughout these turbulent times. Your steadfastness and commitment to due process have kept the spirit of our great party alive. We are here today to set the record straight and address the deliberate distortions being peddled by one Kabiru Turaki, SAN, and his associates regarding the Supreme Court judgment delivered on the 30th of April, 2026. Let it be clear and unambiguous that the Supreme Court judgment of yesterday only nullified the illegal Ibadan “Convention” and dismissed the appeal filed by the Turaki-led purported National Working Committee for lacking in merit. This remains the sole substance of the judgment, contrary to the false narratives being circulated. The judgment did not uphold any suspension or expulsion of any officer of the party. The reason is simple: the issue of suspension or expulsion was never before the Federal High Court, let alone the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. It was neither canvassed at the Federal High Court nor formed part of the questions for determination at any level of adjudication. The apex court addressed only the matter before it, which is the validity or otherwise of the so-called 15th and 16th Ibadan “Convention.” Accordingly, throughout the Supreme Court judgment, there was no mention whatsoever of suspension or expulsion of any party officer. It is also important to state that there has never been a vacuum, obstruction, or absence of leadership in our party that presupposes an interim take over of the administration of the Party by any authority. The leadership structure of the PDP remains intact, lawful, and fully operational under the able National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed, and our indefatigable National Secretary, Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu. Their positions remain duly recognized. What we are witnessing is a desperate attempt by a rejected group to twist the clear facts contained in the judgement of the Supreme Court in order to mislead the public and seek undeserved sympathy. I make it bold to say that the judgement is a public document which can be accessed by anybody to ascertain the content of the said judgement. The same individuals who disobeyed valid court orders to conduct the illegal Ibadan Convention have continued in their pattern of lawlessness by assembling again, even after the Supreme Court has spoken. Their actions only reinforce what is already evident: an agenda set out with the sole intention to destabilize the Party. The general public should now understand who is committed to the survival of the PDP and who has been working tirelessly to undermine it. On the issue of the purported takeover of the party by the Board of Trustees (BoT), or claims of summoning the National Executive Committee (NEC): there is no provision in the Party’s Constitution that grants the Board of Trustees the power to take over the leadership of the party or assume the functions of the National Working Committee. Most curious is the claim by Senator Adolphus Wabara, whose tenure as Chairman of the Board of Trustees had long expired even before the onset of this crisis. The only known legitimate leadership of the Party’s Board of Trustees is that led by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa. Senator Adolphus Wabara should retrace his steps from making statements on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) forthwith. Any such infractions within the Party will no longer be tolerated. We urge the public, party members, and the media to disregard the nuisance and propaganda of Sen Wabara and his cohorts, and rather be guided by truth and legality. We wish to reiterate that

PRESS STATEMENT April 30, 2026 SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT AND THE CONTINUITY OF LEADERSHIP IN THE PDP The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) acknowledges the judgment of the Supreme Court delivered on Thursday, April 30, 2026. For the avoidance of doubt, the judgment of the Supreme Court simply affirms the earlier decisions of the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal nullifying the purported National Convention of the Party held on the 15th and 16th of November 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State. As the conscience and the moral compass of the party, the BOT fully respects and accepts the judgment of the Supreme Court. Consequently, the legal position remains clear and unambiguous: the said Ibadan Convention stands nullified, and any structure emanating therefrom has no legal foundation.  Accordingly, the leadership structure of the Party under: Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed – National Chairman Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, FCIPA – National Secretary remains the valid and stabilizing authority to guide the affairs of the Party at the national level. The Party remains fully functional and will continue to operate through its recognized organs in line with the Constitution of out party (as amended in 2017). Necessary constitutional steps will be taken, as appropriate, to further strengthen the Party’s unity, stability, and preparedness for upcoming electoral engagements. We call on all members of our great Party to remain focused, united and committed. Consequent upon this, the BOT advises the National Working Committee to immediately constitute a National Reconciliation Committee to reach out to all aggrieved members of the party across the country.  This is a moment for discipline, loyalty, and collective commitment to the ideals and future of the party. The PDP remains strong, resilient, and committed to its historic mission of providing credible leadership to Nigeria. Signed: Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, PhD, NPOM Chairman  Board of Trustees
