One might also ask whether those parks and oceanside corridors also appropriate spaces for displaying works for sale? What's wrong with all this taking place in a gallery—in the old fashioned way? Are public spaces now fair game for all to array their wares and "create dialogue"?

This is interesting: we note the City has said this controversial sculpture will not be installed on False Creek cbc.ca/news/canada/br… Since art is about generating conversation, according to art professor @c_cartiere we'll join in.
