Call me nostalgic but Chris Houghton might genuinely be the best option Spurs could choose if it's just for 7 games to end the season. I've got good memories of him almost instantly turning us around after Hyypia.

The refereeing tonight has been probably the worst I've seen at this level. A great advert for the World Cup this summer.

Starting James Milner after actively bringing Matt O'Riley back seems like a pretty strange decision.

I only have a passing interest in the NBA these days but any fan wanting to get rid of the draft should look no further than the Premier League to see why that's a terrible idea...

@SamQuinnCBS I keep seeing this. Sure it *could* happen. But there's still only 15 roster slots, 5 starters, 1 ball. Not everyone can sign with the Knicks or Lakers. Players will want to forge their own paths. And you can play in Milwaukee and be as popular as someone on the Knicks.

The team have worked hard but there's been so little threat from us that it was a matter of time before we conceded. We just feel like we're utterly out of ideas and 1 win in 13 games would be enough for all 19 other PL sides to make a change where it matters...

My question for Andy would be fairly simple. Are fans entitled when they are disappointed that the club is failing to get anywhere near the target it spent all summer telling the fans they were aiming for?

Brighton’s home defeat by Crystal Palace was an uncomfortable watch accompanied by mounting discontent towards Fabian Hurzeler. What it means for Hurzeler’s future and how much he is to blame for a nosedive from 5th to 14th since November. #BHAFC nytimes.com/athletic/70310…

Another season where I've gotten to February and just want to move on to the next. We're at no risk of relegation and not going to get Europe, we're stuck in purgatory.

I can only wonder how many points the inevitable apology will be worth?

#FULBHA – 74’ VAR OVERTURN VAR checked the referee’s call of goal – and established that Welbeck was in an offside position and recommended that the goal was disallowed.

@MrDizTV That's a shame to hear that you won't be back in FM content but I have to say it's a pretty clear pattern across the board. It feels like people are enjoying playing in spite of the game, not because of it. I'll be sure to be there for the new channel.

No desire to play Football Manager unfortunately so the return to content in the FM world has stopped. I won't be back. Started a new YouTube channel. First videos on Monday. I'll announce it on here when the times right, as want it found naturally for YouTubers algorithm.

@FPL_Instinctive Saying Ayari is pretty great then putting that graphic up is an interesting choice. I'm not sure Ayari is great at any one part of his game, he's a valuable squad player but I'm not sure he's looking likely for a move to the next level any time soon.

For all the money spent, Brighton had only one controller in the club: Yasin Ayari. This isn’t a bad thing, of course, given Ayari’s pretty great, but the club was always one injury away from having no deep passing (Baleba progresses via carrying). If we assume Groß’s physicality has fallen off a cliff, his technical base is (and will always be) rather extraordinary. So even if he can’t press like he once could, you sorta don’t need to when Baleba’s the pressing trigger next to you, and both CBs jump the defensive line anyhow. So for just €1.5m, I think this signing is wonderful. You get to spread minutes amongst Ayari and Groß, get more leeway to play Wieffer in midfield given Groß can come inside from RB anyhow, and you get a wealth of experience (being German will be helpful to Hürzeler too) + a fan/player favourite. I wouldn’t be terribly shocked to see Groß start his coaching career (in some capacity) at the club either.
