We are so grateful that the @pvpto allowed us to join their meeting last night. Ray, our very first Reading Buddy, presented about the program and helped us request funds for games and resources to enhance the program. @PVMrsJ @mgsd70

We are always grateful, but especially this time of year, for the wonderful kids at Park View. Especially our 8th graders who serve as part of Ray's Reading Buddies! @PVMrsJ @mgsd70 #inspire70

@wbny I just preordered! As the daughter of a coal miner, this story sounds similar to my own. I can't wait to read it and share this beautiful story!

In two weeks I will be completing an endorsement that was more of a want than a need. I won’t get a pay bump. My role won’t change, but it could. I’m about to have a Master’s plus 57 hours of education and I’m proud of the fact I’m a life long learner. Never give up on yourself!

The English language does not have to be confusing for students. When teachers know how the language is structured they can teach about it. But, if teachers aren't taught about the language- things like phonics, phonemic awareness, and grammar, we can see where the gap starts.

Structured Literacy has many elements, alone they are pieces to a puzzle. Together, they make a strong reader! We will break down the elements in the coming weeks. We will also hear from individuals- why Structured Literacy is important to them, personally. Keep an eye out!
